The platform

An archive like a kit.

The CaRD Connector cleanly separates what belongs together: capture, integration, archive core, viewing and storage. Start with the core and add modules as needed – all over open standards, with no silo.

01 Modules

Six building blocks, one archive.

Each module works on its own and meshes seamlessly with the others – so the platform grows with your requirements.

Connector Vault

The audit-proof archive core for documents, data and print lists. Legal Hold, versioning (check-out/check-in) and protection against silent overwrites included.

Connector Bridge

The interface to SAP and the world: ArchiveLink, SAP DMS, BC-ILM – and open CMIS 1.1 for any CMIS-capable third-party application.

Connector Move

Migration of legacy archives and DMS systems – safe, complete and without downtime. Scales into the terabyte range per week.

Connector Capture

Input from scan, mail and interfaces – with barcode recognition, separation and OCR full text for later retrieval.

Connector View

Seamless display in the browser, straight from SAP – no extra desktop install, with correct preview for Office and PDF formats.

Connector Cloud

Storage connection for SharePoint, Azure Blob, AWS S3 and STACKIT. Switching the backend is configuration – not a new project.

02 Open standards

No lock-in. By design.

The CaRD Connector consistently relies on open interfaces instead of proprietary formats. That keeps your data free and your investment future-proof.

CMIS 1.1

Content Management Interoperability Services (OASIS) – the vendor-independent standard for content repositories, Browser Binding.

SAP ArchiveLink

The classic SAP interface for two-step document filing – including print lists and inbound documents.

SAP DMS

Document info records with originals and components – for connecting SAP document management.

SAP BC-ILM

Information Lifecycle Management: retention rules, WORM and compliant destruction after the deadline.

Ready for SAP out of the box

SAP Certified – Integration with SAP S/4HANA

Compatible with the Apache Chemistry CMIS Workbench. The following SAP scenarios are supported out of the box:

  • ArchiveLink scenarios
  • Fiori apps
  • SARA data archiving
  • SAP PLM
  • SAP DMS
  • Business Documents
  • GOS attachments (Generic Object Services)
  • SAP HDM (Harmonized Document Management)

03 Architecture

Cleanly separated layers.

Applications speak open standards, storage is connected through interchangeable backends, and an indexed metadata layer keeps search fast – at any data volume.

04 Security & compliance

Protected outside, audited inside.

Access protection

Central auth gate with combinable methods: Basic, JWT, API key, mTLS and IP allowlist. Storage access via short-lived, app-specific permissions.

Audit-proofing

Legal Hold (deletion protection), versioning and WORM support. Immutability and traceability in line with GoBD and the German Commercial Code.

Data sovereignty

Content stays in your infrastructure or your tenant. No intermediate store outside your environment, GDPR-ready.

05 Optional · AI

Find documents without knowing the exact name.

On request, we extend the archive with AI-assisted search – optional, runnable on-premises or in your sovereign EU cloud, without your content ever leaving your own environment.

Natural-language search

Search in your own words – e.g. “invoice from supplier X in the third quarter” – instead of only exact metadata. Semantic matches included.

Automatic tagging

Incoming documents are classified and enriched with keywords and metadata – reducing manual upkeep and improving findability.

Find similar documents

For a given document, related or similar items are suggested – ideal for research, audits and case work.

Optional building block: the classic rule-based search (CMISQL, full text, metadata) remains fully intact. AI features are opt-in and can run in your own infrastructure – in line with your data-protection and compliance requirements.
